Ok, so my experiment wasn't such a big mess in the end ;) For those who don't know I decided to enter the Cupcake Round-Up which is being hosted by Cheryl of Cupcake Bakeshop and Garrett of Vanilla Garlic. Well, the theme was re-invention so I wanted to re-invent a classic English dessert into a cupcake.

I thought about a sticky toffee pudding cupcake but decided I wouldn't have time to experiment properly with that so it's been put on the back burner for now. Instead I thought of Eton Mess, which I've always loved! I wanted to use blackberries so it reflected the season but unfortunately I couldn't find any in the wild or in the supermarket so I had to make do with raspberries. The dish usually contains strawberries but Lisa is allergic to them and I wanted her to try these ones.

So here's the recipe (I took the vanilla cupcake recipe from joyofbaking.com - which can be found here - but I have changed it slightly)...

It's sunday, I'm sat at my computer with my mitten on ;) COS I LOVE THEM! I've had about 10/15 pixy stix but i'm gonna cut myself off now :p Already painted a wall and swept the drive :) WOO ME! (yeah as i said, no more pixy stix :p)

So, parents have been and gone. They painted, I actually have some semblance of a garden on one side (I even have a red rose!!) and they fed me tonight :)

Picked up my glasses today, early this morning before going to B&Q with my daddy...

Oval ones - Em said they're like Dame Edna, I like them :p

Oblong ones - Mum said studious, Em said kinky secretary (which is more the look I was going for :p) and these ones are my favourite I think :)

But... not only that! I got home to find a package from the CookieLady!! WOOO!!! inside there were not only the mittens I knew she was knitting me but PIXY STIX TOO!!!! WOOO!!! and not only a few, say 10 or 20 (which is what I was expecting) but 180!!!!!! How fab is that woman?!?!?!!? Haven't managed to eat them all yet ;) but give me time :p (NEW ICON made in celebration of the pixy stix greatness!!)

So yay me! great day :) many presents (the rose was a present from my mum and dad) :) just really tired now :p

I am perverse and twisted. I have the filthiest mind out of anyone I know, and currently everything I think seems to just pop out my mouth o.0

I'm scared now in case I embarrass Erica next Friday o.0

Ended up taking a half day today so I could clean and everything (in anticipation of my parents arrival tomorrow) while I was the only one in the house (em and lee would just get in the way!) managed to do everything now the kitchen is lovely and sparkly, there is food in the fridge o.0, the living room and hallway have been vacuumed and the furniture in the living room has been suitably moved so my mum can paint the wall she needs to :) yeah, my momma's good to me ;)

btw does anyone rememeber...

Hot Shots - the movie that is being spoofed in the part where Topper's eating food off Ramada's body? is it 9½ weeks? it's bugging the hell out of me and i need to know sooner rather than later please!!
